Grace Braniff. Maker. Puppets. Seamstress. SPFX.

dynamic. engaging. expertly crafted. tactile creations that'll make your eyes water.

How do you make the puppets work? You stick your hand in the the puppet hole. Grace Braniff and Meredith  Bolt are co-founders of PuppetHole Studios. Travel down the puppet hole where things only get curiouser and curiouser.

Grace is a professional maker, with a BFA from The University of Western Ontario and is currently a graduate student attending Sheridan College's Special Effects Program.

Grace hopes to populate the world with wildly unique and charming creatures, bringing a little less real into the real world.

Her heaping fabric collection threatens to smother her every day.

Grace wears rose coloured glasses that turn every person into a puppet.

Lacking adequate supplies, she once made a dragon costume out of individually cut beer can dragon scales.

Her house is filled with puppet friends but she sometimes catches them staring a little too long.

She and Meredith at PuppetHole Studios are currently designing and fabricating a series of drag puppets inspired by RuPauls Drag Race.  Watch out for the first video instalment of this puppet series! Ella Fanza Extravaganza, Frank Lynne, Squirrel Nutkins and Beau-Fox will be teaching you how to tuck.

Grace Braniff sculpts with foam, fabric and all that fur to make the things in your head, step out into the world.
